CALAPH C8
MBTI Assessment — Individual & Team Reports
About the Assessment
During the CALAPH C8 Retreat, we will be conducting a self-awareness and team building session using the well-known Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). This assessment tool explores the basic differences in the way individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment and how these innate preferences can enhance or impede communication, collaboration, and decision-making in groups.
To have full participation during the session, we will need all fellows to complete the MBTI assessment ahead of time. Even if you are familiar with your MBTI type, please complete the assessment anew. All team members need to take the assessment so that our office can generate the team report, which is used during the session. The team report is an analysis of your MBTI personality type in relation to your team’s. This report will be sent to you prior to the session, during which a skilled facilitator will guide fellows through the process of understanding, interpreting, and utilizing the results. (Individual reports are kept confidential and are not shared.)
The assessment questionnaire is comprised of 93 questions and a feedback session, which takes an average of 45 minutes to one hour to complete. Please use the link below to complete your assessment by Friday, December 13.
When will I get my results?
LAPH program staff will send your individual report results directly to you via email a week before the session. The team report will be sent via email the morning of the retreat session.

Things to keep in mind while taking the assessment:
Your individual reports are confidential.
Your results will be sent to you via email prior to the session.
Save your work. If you cannot complete the assessment in one sitting, use the save feature to save your work and return to it later. Just make sure to complete the assessment by the deadline.
Please be sure to complete the questionnaire when you are relaxed and not thinking about work or have other things going on. Take it at a convenient time.
Before you start, create a mindset where you are thinking about how things would be in your ideal world – where you could do things the way you prefer them to be done, rather than being required to do things a certain way. Try to maintain this mindset as you answer the questions.
All of the questions are “forced-choice,” meaning you will need to choose which answer is best for you. There are no “in-betweens” or ways to say “it depends." If there are questions you aren’t sure how to answer, don’t overthink it. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers.
The MBTI assessment will walk you through an explanation of MBTI and a validation of your type online. If you are new to the MBTI, we invite you to learn more about it.
