Your coach will encourage your team to focus on the big picture and leadership development aspects of this program while also challenging your team to look at things from a different perspective. During specific touch-points throughout the program duration, your coach will support and encourage movement on your project and provide tools, resources, and key contacts.
Coach-Team Calls
Coach-team calls are an important part of the CALAPH program and provide valuable time for teams and coaches to discuss leadership learning, team goals, reflections, accomplishments, and other progress updates. These calls are a time for teams to focus in on their unique leadership learning needs while receiving guidance and feedback from an experienced public health professional.

Your coach will be reaching out to team coordinators soon to organize and schedule the introductory call. Team coordinators will be given further instructions from their coach about how to prepare for the first meeting ahead of time.

During the first coach team call, teams and coaches will get to know one another, discuss team learning goals, and establish ground rules and expectations for future calls. In the first call, you will:
Begin to build team trust.
Ground meetings in action learning and reflection.
Set learning goals.
Introduce your coach to the structure of your broader home team and/or coalition.
Explore the socio-economic and political context of the community in which you will work.

Frequency: Three times throughout the program duration
Duration: 60-90 minutes depending on agenda items and team needs
Location: Teams can choose from a variety of virtual meeting options for their team calls including conference call or a video call platform.

Prepare and share the meeting agenda with the team and your coach prior to the meeting, with ample time to review.
Access/log-in information for the virtual meeting platform of choice.
Any slides, materials, or attachments that you plan to share.

Meeting agenda sent ahead of time by the team coordinator.
Any relevant program materials, core tools, or project items that will be discussed during the meeting.
