Adaptive leadership for equitable community impact

The Leadership Academy for the Public’s Health (LAPH) gives individuals and teams the skills to assess and address complex real-world issues and events, while advancing health equity and racial justice.

LAPH is run by PHI Center for Health Leadership & Impact with generous support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and The California Endowment.

OUR APPROACH

Bringing together leaders from diverse sectors and disciplines. Creating equitable, lasting change.

Effective, principled leadership is more important than ever. Your community needs leaders who can assess complex, intersecting issues, such as COVID-19 and violence. They deserve leaders who can work as a team and move from strategy to implementation, in partnership with the community, and center health equity and racial justice.

LAPH provides the training and tools to respond more effectively to today’s needs and meet tomorrow’s challenges.

What participants are saying

“[NLAPH] was transformative for me and for our rural community. I credit it with opening doors to national funding opportunities…It sparked an intellectual curiosity that has expanded my leadership capacity while also nurturing a deep-seated sense of joy and purpose. I can't thank the Academy enough!”

"The program brought the team together and engaged them in a commitment that cemented the team for long-term performance. That commitment has been the impetus for others to want to be engaged and participating."
