Alleghany County Lead Safe Team

Overview

Over the course of the grant, WHE will establish relationships within six specific communities to promote behavior change and reduce exposure of lead in high priority neighborhoods. We will work to increase the number of children receiving blood lead testing by 15% within the first 12 months of project, and improve enrollment in supportive services for families of children with EBLLs, such as ACHD Lead Investigation program and early intervention services.

We would like to develop and implement tools that help to improve efficiency and effectiveness of working together on the common goals of increasing childhood blood lead testing rates, improve enrollment in supportive services, and increase education and awareness among communities and healthcare practitioners.
