PHASE TWO

Ideation

March - April


Key Features

  • Active brainstorming – create vision for change, try out different scenarios, develop team learning goals, decide what and how to measure change

  • Engage stakeholders/form a powerful coalition – conduct stakeholder analysis, conduct network mapping, build sponsorship

  • Plan for change - create workplan with roles, responsibilities and milestones

  • Utilize Integrative/systems thinking – define strategy and pathway to change

  • Communicate change plan and vision

  • Establish reflective practice/Learning Curve reflection

  • Annual retreat (prior to start of phase)

  • Monthly Coach-Team meetings

  • Site Visit or Deep Dive meeting with Coach

  • Strategy and Partnerships Module - Big Picture and Network Map tools due

PHASE THREE

Implementation

May - June

  • Execute vision – implement workplan, develop action plan, create short term wins

  • Develop a communication strategy

  • Maintain sponsorship, engage networks, and stakeholders

  • Experiment – engage in action learning (assess, measure, act, plan), commit to team reflective learning

  • Tell stories - make a business case, communicate vision/status/milestones, celebrate success, share learning

  • Plan for policy/environmental change - produce measurable results
