HHS Region 3

Healthy Housing for All DC
Washington, DC
Cohort 10 - 2021
NLAPH
Overview
The project’s main objective is the primary prevention of childhood lead exposure. The team will provide a model for holistic home assessments to identify a full range of home health hazards in paint, water, soil and air and to provide an integrated approach to eliminating and not just reducing lead and related hazards.
They hope to identify the necessary supports and pathways to enable property owners to understand how to prevent exposure and how to access available resources to eliminate hazards.
The team will market the program to new homeowners through housing counselors and realtors and to existing homeowners through social media, print outlets, and community outreach events.
