Reflection & Moving Forward
We know that each of you came into NLAPH at different stages and also leave this program at varying stages of project formation and action. All of you have taken risks during this program, and in Learning in Relationship, author Ronald Short points out that, "to be open to influence from other perspectives, you risk the discovery that the only reality you have is inaccurate." We hope that the competencies (individual leadership mastery, working across sectors, systems and political leadership, use of data, and continuous quality improvement) resonated with you and that you take your learning and nurture it. Take time to be reflective about your leadership with your team and others. We know that you all have built something during our time together and our hope is that you continue to build capacity on the ground that lasts for years to come. Thank you for spending this time with NLAPH. We look forward to continuing our work together to improve the public's health through the Leadership Learning Network.
